Winter Sidewalk Maintenance
Community Standards Bylaw 14600 requires home owners and tenants to clear snow and ice from every walk and driveway on or beside their property within 48 hours of the last snowfall. The fine for failing to do so is $100 and clean up costs. If you have a concern about a neighbour's uncleared walk please call 311, visit www.edmonton.ca, or consider becoming a Snow Angel by clearing snow and/or ice for those not able to do so themselves. To nominate someone who has been your Snow Angel, please email us at [email protected]. They will receive a certificate of recognition and a gift. His/Her name will be put in a draw for a Boston Pizza Gift Certificate. Together, we can have safe sidewalks, clear of ice and snow. |
Message from Our Lady of Peace Elementary School
There has been a lot of excitement since the start of the New Year at Our Lady of Peace. We continue to see gains and growth in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy, Physical Literacy and through our Performing Arts program. We also continue to witness our Catholic Virtues through our focus book "The Seven Sacred Teachings." As we continue to see signs of spring, our students have taken on many leadership roles in various clubs such as Art Club, Comic Club, Badminton, HERO club, Lego Club and other school based activities. We also continue to fundraise for the Sign of Hope through our healthy apple chip sales. This is all a great example of our school motto "Together We Grow." Our Lady of Peace is a great community school with many opportunities for students. We are accepting registrations for the 2018/19 school year. If you would like to meet to find out more information about the school please call 780.489.1222. Susan Oreski Principal Our Lady of Peace Elementary School 780.489.1222 |
